Phillip Island - Casey Stoner dominated the first day of the Australian MotoGP free practice session. After becoming the fastest in first free practice, he went on to lead the second session.
At Phillip Island Circuit on Friday (10/14/2011) noon CST, Stoner became the fastest after beating Marco Simoncelli who must be satisfied in the second position. While third place belonged to Jorge Lorenzo.
Ben Spies became the fourth fastest rider in this session, while stalking behind Dani Pedrosa and Hiroshi Aoyama. Sitting as the seventh fastest racer is Rany de Puniet, who successively followed by Alvaro Bautista, Colin Edwards and Andrea Dovizioso in the top 10.
